Although originally intended for an October 2014 release, WB Interactive and game developers Rocksteady have decided to postpone the release for Batman: Arkham Knight until some time in 2015 to allow for more development.
An exact date hasn't been announced yet. Given the problems that Arkham Origins had I have to say it is encouraging that the game is getting more care and attention.
“Now Batman: Arkham Knight is totally awesome,” Dax Ginn (Rocksteday) told reporters in May, under embargo. “The thing about awesome, though, is awesome takes time. And totally awesome takes a lot of time.
So in collaboration with our colleagues at Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics, we have decided to extend the development time of Batman: Arkham Knight.
Now, the very simple reason for doing this is to ensure we are delivering the awesome level of quality that Batman fans and gamers expect from this, the final episode and the epic conclusion to the Rocksteady Arkham trilogy. The Dark Knight will face his ultimate challenge in Batman: Arkham Knight now to be released in 2015.”
In addition to this news we also have a video that focuses on the Batmobile from Batman: Arkham Knight - detailing the assault weapons onboard!
Dissapponting to say the least, but atleast Batman gamers still have Batman Lego 3 to look forward to later in the year!
