The full-size batwing was used solely for the post crash scenes. Bottled gas was fed into variuos sections of the mock-up. The fact that the live-action material was shot first complicated the miniature photography because Meddings and his crew had to ensure that their wire-rigged model ended up at precisely the same attitude.
