A new rumor suggests that...wait for it...Jean-Claude Van Damme is being eyed for a role in BJ 2.

Haha!

Well, that'll be a way to get me even MORE interested in this project!  ;D

"Imagination is a quality given a man to compensate him for what he is not, and a sense of humour was provided to console him for what he is."

(Not an April Fool) It has been quiet on this front, but apparently, there are whispers that Ortega has dropped out of some other project and cleared her schedule for BJ 2. She is expected to start shooting in May.

This next tidbit comes not from any major report but from a smaller twitter user who recently visited the original films shooting location (with nice photos to back it up) in East Corinth, Vermont. Apparently a 'little bird' told her that the Beetlejuice 2 production is expected 'soon'. The Hollywood Reporter article claimed that shooting would take place primarily in London, but we may be (exteriors or a short visit) seeing more of Winter River.

Tim Burton spoke at a 'Master Class' session in Malaysia where he mentioned that he's filming Beetlejuice 2 very soon.

A source in the UK claims these are photos of set construction for BJ 2.

Mad Monster is responsible for these claims. Link: https://madmonster.com/2023/04/22/beetlejuice-2-finally-in-production/

Beetlejuice 2 was confirmed as 'in development' at Cinemacon. I hoped for something firmer than that.

Well, babes...

The article below is about the writer's strike and how it will impact upcoming films. It is a good and worthwhile read, but apparently Beetlejuice 2 will be one of the least affected films as the production start date for the film is June 9th. The script is locked and they are rolling.

There is rumor flying around that the Wednesday (and Spider-man 2!!!) guys, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are the guys that wrote it. Anyway all WGA work is expected to continue until contract expiration on June 30th, also the film is in the UK and they have work arounds.

It's not a rumor anymore. Miles Millar confirms it on today's episode of Talk Ville. They don't go into it super deep but Millar does confirm that it's true.

Just skip ahead to closer to the end when Gough and Millar show up. Millar confirms it just before he and Gough exit.
