Superman III (1983) and the Comics

Supergirl was also going to figure into Ilya's Superman III. He had quite a grand vision for how the film could play out. In his SIII commentary, he even said he wanted Superman's turn to the dark side to be done with the push of a computer button to help sell the reality that he was being controlled and was not in command of his faculties. He said he personally thought that would help children deal with seeing Superman act like a jerk.
