Couldn't help myself and read it. There's a hint of The Killing Joke too. "Easy mode", heh.

Issue # 5 is basically a (spoiler) humorous sub-plot of Green Arrow and Harley possibly bonding as future allies, in the trailer it's hinted that she's a member of (what one presumes to be) Batman's resistance

This is the story mode trailer.

I noticed elements of The Killing Joke in the comic's plot. The game's story really reminds me of Kingdom Come, with Batman and Superman assembling their own teams for the upcoming war. It also reminds me of some of those alternate universe animated stories like the Justice League two-parter 'A Better World' and the Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths (2010) feature film.

I hope they aren't setting Superman up as the villain in story mode just so Batman can beat him up.

That's part of what grabbed my, and no doubt some other readers', interest. Superman isn't really presented as a villain IMO, more like an "anti-villain" or a self-righteous "Templar", just like in Kingdom Come. What he does obviously isn't right, this fascist "utopia" isn't a solution, but, also like in KC, he does have a point (the writers were careful to insert two events that one can't help but cheer: he deposes a dictator and stops a bombing).

Also, not only his attitude, but his insignia-cape are almost identical to Eradicator's.

Ah, well spotted. I hadn't noticed that. It makes sense since the Eradicator Superman was the most openly fascistic version during the Reign of the Supermen arc.

Is there any news yet about which heroes are on which team? I'm wondering if they're going to use the same line-ups as in Kingdom Come. If so, I'm siding with Team Superman since he'll probably have the Flash and Hawkgirl on his side.

Hawkgirl is pretty much confirmed for team Superman, Flash so far has been presented as wavering between both sides.

Stephen Amell Adds Arrow Likness and Voice to Injustice: Gods Among UsStephen Amell's turn as the hooded vigilante Green Arrow in The CW's Arrow has proven a huge success thus far, so it makes sense to use Amell's likeness and voice in other DC-related projects that feature the character.

Green Arrow in NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive's Injustice: Gods Among Us video game has been a confirmed character for months. All the superheroes and villains in the game such as The Joker, Batman, The Flash, etc. are based on their comic counterparts and not television or film-related portrayals.

However, NetherRealm has added a skinned version of Green Arrow that will be based on the likeness and voice of Stephen Amell. Imagine going up against recently announced Doomsday with Green Arrow and hearing Amell mutter the words "Doomsday, you have failed this city" as the fight gets underway. I'm not saying that's how it will go as I don't know. But I would be shocked if Arrow's signature line from the CW show didn't make it into the game, maybe while he's finishing off an opponent.

You can see the Stephen Amell skin in action in the fight below that pits Green Arrow up against Superman, followed by a couple high resolution screenshots.

Injustice: Gods Among Us comes out on April 16 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii U.

I wish they had the rights to use Keaton's likeness for this game. I've always wondered how much money would actors demand if video game designers want to use their likeness.
QuoteJonathan Nolan: He [Batman] has this one rule, as the Joker says in The Dark Knight. But he does wind up breaking it. Does he break it in the third film?

Christopher Nolan: He breaks it in...

Jonathan Nolan: ...the first two.

Doesn't seem like something he'd do, he could have exploited his batman fame the same way Adam West does but he seems to prefer laying low.

When it comes to Batman, the likeness is defined not so much by the actor's face as by the design of the cowl. And with this game/comic they've clearly modelled Batman on the Christian Bale version.

If they really wanted to they could probably get away with using Keaton's mouth/jaw line without having to pay him anything. But evidently they wanted to capitalise on the popularity of The Dark Knight trilogy. It's a smart move from a marketing angle, especially since there weren't any major games based on TDK and TDKR (not counting those released on mobile gaming platforms). It's also worth remembering that for many people - especially those introduced to the franchise through Nolan's movies - Bale is still Batman. So this might be Warner Bros' last chance to cash in on his incarnation of the character before the next reboot/JLA movie comes along and a new actor supplants him in the public's eye.
