I just recieved my very own copy of the Tim Burton & Danny Elfman 25th Anniversary Music Box Set in the mail today.  I am so excited, I can't wait to listen to it and share with you all the details.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts...with baited jealously  ;)

I've read that the worktape stuff is just synthesised versions of the score, much like listening to the Atari's arcade game score. No tracks of Elfman "singing" into the microphone. La-La Land's complete score release is much better.

Man, those guys have aged horribly in the 5/6 years since the SE DVD interviews took place, lol

I think Burton looks pretty much the same. He just needs a good shave.

I have finally finished reading the entire Danse Macabre book, and I have listened to every single piece of music that was included on both cd and USB. I will get into further detail later, regarding my thoughts on this music box set, especially Batman and Batman Returns.  In the meantime, I figure that everyone would love to listen to the worktapes for Batman.  So, I have uploaded them, here they are in no particular order, I will also upload Batman Returns worktapes and demos later.  I hope you all enjoy.

On a side note, when you listen to Joker Flies To Gotham you will notice that the ending is a little more complete with a finished brass section unlike the (Film Version) presented in the La La Land Records cd release.

Good call on the Joker Flies to Gotham track!

Here are the worktapes and demos for Batman Returns.  For some reason,  Penguin Theme III was not included in this music box set.  Which was listed on the track information at the burton/elfman website.

Here is the link: http://www.burtonelfman.com/detail/cd5.html

Anyway, I hope that you enjoy these worktapes and demos.
