Merchandise / Mayor Borg Picture?
Sat, 5 Sep 2009, 17:36
Does anyone have a picture of Mayor Borg handy?  I've been looking on the internet for one but the only I can find as of now is too tiny for what I want to do.  If you have one of the Topps Trading card, that would even be better!  I would greatly appreciate it if you could me out.

Thank You!!!

Movies / The Iron Giant Tribute Site
Tue, 30 Jun 2009, 05:02
I love the Iron Giant and thought I would share this link with anyone else here who happens to love the Big Guy too! It's a lot of what is in this person's collection, but if you love this movie as much as I do or as much as this guy does, then I think you'll like this site.

Merchandise / WHAT IS ON YOUR WANT LIST?
Tue, 30 Jun 2009, 04:25
Here is a question, what is on your want list when it comes to your Batman collection?  If you could have anything in your BATMAN collection, what would it be?  No matter how un-realistic or realistic, I am curious to see what others are searching for.  Would it be a movie poster signed by the cast?  A ride in the Batmobile?  Or even better, the Batmobile?!  Would it be an issue of Starlog magazine with Batman on the cover?  Would it be a pair of Batman high tops?  A beach towel?  A puzzle?  A Bob The Goon action figure?  Taco Bell adverts and giveaways?

For me I would like to finish my Ertl 1/64 collection.  I still need the Batman/Joker two pack.  I would love to have the merchandise catalog they advertise on the BATMAN VHS.  I also need the movie posters (original and double sided!) and in a picture frame.  I'd also like to obtain the P.O.P. material they sent out to the video retailers for the VHS release.  I'd also love to have the entire run of Variety Daily from the month of June of 1989.  If you get a chance, take a look at your local library.  You'll know what I mean once you see it!  And of course I'd love to get my hands on the Batman pinball machine and arcade video game.  Yeah that would make my day alright!

There are several other things on my want list, so what is on yours?

Here are three You Tube clips I thought you all might enjoy.  Sorry if these are a repost.

The first one is some commercials from 1989.  Nice TV spot for Batman at the beginning.  And if anyone cares, towards the end there is a nice TV spot for Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade.

The second one is part of a CBS special for Batman Returns.  This part focuses on Catwoman.  No, I haven't tracked down the other parts.  Yet.

The third one is an interview with Michelle Pfeiffer talking about Catwoman and Batman Returns.

I was at the thrift store a while back and I discovered a VHS copy of Batman, whose cover box is a little banged up and looks exactly the same as all the other VHS tapes, but this one had the words "Compliments of diet Coke. Not for sale or rental." on the cover.  And on the tape it says, "Compliments of diet Coke and Warner Home Video Inc."  I never new it existed so I paid the $0.95 cents for it and brought it home.

So does anyone have any ideas of a contest that what was going on with diet Coke where they were giving away VHS copies for free or any information pertaining to this?  If you do, let me know.

Merchandise / Batman / Sega OST?
Sun, 17 May 2009, 15:06
I was just looking through the pictures and I found this:

I didn't even know that this existed.  Can anyone tell me about it?  Is it a promo?  It it a bootleg?  What year was it released?  What does it sound like?

Basically, if you can enlighten me, I would appreciate it greatly.

Thanks!

I found this link the other day and thought once again I would share it with all of you.  This is a link to the album Prince helped Kim Basinger put together but never saw the light of day except in the tape trading circles.  It's one of those cool things to add to your collection if nothing else.  Hope you enjoy.
