I'm watching the superhero stuff about Joker's return and they mentioned the "ever dance with the devil line.

They were saying how he doesn't say it all the time but he said it Bruce Wayne because he knows Bruce Wayne and he's 100% aware he killed the Wayne's. He's straight up making fun of Bruce and if anything finishing the job when he shoots him (both times he gets a joy out of it). Something I did not think of until they mentioned it.

The issues with Val Kilmer and Joel Schumacher were pretty well known but I've been reading things that don't put Shumacher in a good light. Eitor Paul Hirschmann (in his book A Long Time Ago in a Cutting Room Far, Far Away) mentioned that Schumacher was rather inappropriate with crew during Falling Down and even publicly embarrassed him after mentioned a shot was out of focus.

Now, Bob Ringwood has brought some more issues to light, even a case of physical abuse. Its also interesting to note that the Ice Suits were not Ringwood aprooved and thats what caused him to remove his name from the film.

These were taken from this reddit (Ringwood also talks about the Burton Films) as posted from the Batman Online Facebook page

I've been hearing that there are different takes in the edit used in the current 35 anniversary live orchestra screenings.

One of them being Alfred telling Bruce that Viki had arrived in the Batcave.

Another is also a different take for the "We're going to be here for quite some time" scene.

Quinones must've based this sketch on this unused poster. Batgirl does a similar pose to Batman, and both images have Gotham Cathedral in the background.

If only the stories were just as engaging as the Easter eggs.

Thats a good catch! Also I agree 100%

Sorry for the double post but somone on youtube noticed somthing interesting. Not once did Michael Keaton reffer to himself as Bruce Wayne. Even when asked who he was he responded ""I'm the guy who lives here".

He does however refer to himself as Batman (obviously for nostalgia).

I think the problem that it's in the writting (let alone who would play Terry). This is what Paul Dini had to say when he was ask to pen a story

Quote"Alan [Burnett] and I actually worked on a Batman Beyond live-action feature. We worked with Boaz Yakin ... Boaz was talking to the folks at Warners about some projects, and he'd just directed Remember the Titans, which was a really good sports story, football story. One of the ideas that he liked was Batman Beyond ... but he really wanted to work on it with Alan and myself. So we had a number of meetings, and we actually all worked on a draft together."

"It was fine...it wasn't like [Return of the Joker]. It was set in Gotham future, but it didn't quite have the fantastic, futuristic edge. It was sort of like an amalgam, there was a little bit of Dark Knight, there was a little bit of contemporary comics, and there was Terry and the suit and everything. It was Old Bruce Wayne. So they were in it, but it was just a little bit...I dunno, for whatever reason, this was a more successful film. The first draft went in and needed some work, then basically everybody decided it was better, rather than spend a lot of time on this, let's just table it."

Beyond holds alot of love and that carries on alot of baggage. I dont think right now is the time for it sadly. Keatons return in the Flash didnt do much and too many people are mad at WB that I don't see people finding a reason to support the movie.

Not to mention, if Paul Dini can't feel it out (and made changes to the material he helped create to adapt it better for live action), I see that as a warning on how bad this movie could go. It sounds like it wasnt really a Beyond film it just had Beyond characters.

But I guerentee when if it does get greenlit, people will find a way to tear it apart from announcement to opening day. Seems to be the fasion with anything Batman these days.

Wrote a big thing about the current state of Burtons Batman but in all honesty I'm kind of tired of the negativity.

So, I think it would be fun to write things we do like, and are glad to see in newer Batman.

For me,

- I'm glad to see nods to Shumachers Batman in the 89 comic.
- I'm glad Keatons Batman still has the movies. I always thought he'd just blow up Bane, but he'd whipe the floor with him
- I'm glad we got to see some form of Robin even though Keatons Batman doesnt really fit with that.
- I'm glad Keatons Batman in the flash doesnt mention robin and his relationship with Barry kind of gives us a hint on how Keaton may have delt with one
- The Flash gave us one of the best live action Batcaves
- Batmans theme has come back to him after being used in Justice League
- There was a sence of love for Keaton and his Batman with Andy Muschietti (even if I didnt agree with all his choiced)
- I am glad Keaton got to play Batman again
