If this turns out to be the direction they're going in, I have very few reservations at the moment. It may have a few too many characters (I wouldn't mind if they started with the trinity and panned out from there), but a reverse direction from Marvel (ie, launch solo franchises off of a group film) could work with characters of this caliber.

It looks good, but a bit too self-serious at this point.  Not that I want cotton candy, bad one-liners, and camp--but the feelings evoked by most of Iron Man 1 is what I'd like in a Superman film.  I'd like a hell of a good ride, with a mostly grounded story, and all of the magic realism surrounding Superman/Krypton.  For now.  :)  This looks close--the cast looks great, but I'm tired of whispered-to-be-taken-seriously dialogue, platitudes about becoming a man, etc. etc.  It just feels like we're retreading over some already established territory either with Superman in other media, or with comic book caped heroes in general.  That said, I'm going to give it a shot, of course.  :)

Really enjoyed the Christmas special this year, and the new opening. It recalls some of the previous ones (of course) that included seeing the performer's face in the credits.

I'm quite excited to see The Doctor return in the spring.  Truth be told, I enjoyed the Ponds, I will still revisit nearly every episode with them, but their time had come.  First half of Series 7 holds up on review.  Can't wait to see what else pops out.  The teaser looks promising.  I've always enjoyed the creatures that haunt the Who-verse, and it seems quite a few of them will be lurking in the upcoming episodes.

Movies / Re: James Bond in SkyFall

I would place it somewhere in my top five.  I'm absolutely stunned by how much I enjoyed it, and I'm thrilled to have walked in spoiler-free.  My top five includes From Russia with Love, OHMSS, Goldfinger, and Skyfall with the final spot up for grabs.  Maybe TSWLM, LTK, or TWINE.  Not sure.

Honestly, though, Skyfall is my favorite since OHMSS.  Hands down.  Bar none. Stunned.

Anyone else enjoy it?

With Bill Murray's post Anderson popularity, as well as his work in 'Lost in Translation' and 'Broken Flowers' (terrific film), I don't think I would categorize his post popular-role career in the same light as Keaton's.

I thought the 'Aggressive Reporter' was more or less the BR version of Knox.  I would have liked it had Wuhl reprise that role, of course.

Not sure how to post about Angels in Manhattan without giving major (as Dr. Song would have it) 'spoilers.'  My initial reaction is heartbreak.  I haven't been keeping up with any scuttlebutt, so I didn't realize this episode would have major events take place within them.  I guess it was handled quite well, though I would rather have a happier ending for our companions.  Still, terrific and scary episode.

I'm bummed to read that, but no matter.  Everyone has a right to their own opinion, no matter how paradoxical it may seem.  I use this word choice as 'The Flash' more so than any other DC property felt like it could fit in the same world of story as Batman 1989.  True, some of the elements (especially in the pilot) did not age very well.  Over all, despite a few weaker episodes, I think the show holds up well and is great fun.  My children enjoy it (ages 7 and 5) and I enjoy watching it with them.

Spot on Silver Nemesis--I believe the second season could have easily improved on the first season, as they figured out which villains work, which new villains would be introduced--and there were rumors at the time that they were going to bring Iris West back in and introduce Wally.  Rumors that I'm half remembering 20 years later, so take some of this with a grain of salt.

Great job all!  Looks terrific.  :)

I am the Bright Knight.  You know, as I've said elsewhere, something that worked for me in this series was the partnership between Batman and Robin--especially in the first season (still my favorite season).  I am looking forward to them bringing that element back in the next series.
