OK, so I'm not thrilled about tying the Nolanverse into new JL movie (and by association Man of Steel), but if its true there's not much we can do about it...

...so, what do you think would be a good way to bring back Bale?

I mentioned last month that I was painting a mural on my sons bedroom wall. I finally got started last night.

Just got a few lines drawn. Hoping to get the rest finished today and start fleshing it out with paint.

Our DC Entertainment source sent us over a fresh batch of news on the Justice League movie and characters set to appear.

Previously our source revealed to us the first news on the Man of Steel spearheading a new DC shared movie universe, the Justice League 2015 movie, a new Batman reboot in 2016, a few scenes from the previous DC movies and most recently plans for an Aquaman movie.

Here is the latest:

• Superman is essentially the same character from Man of Steel, and Zack Snyder is consulting regarding the writing of the character.

• Batman: The strategist of the group. Batman doesn't really want to be involved with these super powered beings he considers too powerful. Easily the most complex written.

• Wonder Woman: She has only been in man's world a few short months. The Wonder Woman script Michael Goldenberg is developing will be set before the Justice League movie.

• Green Lantern: Will be Ryan Reynold's character from the Green Lantern movie, but will be freshly written with a more serious tone.

• Flash: The most popular hero in civilian eyes who loves media attention, but when called upon is very serious.

• Martian Manhunter: Alien who has lived on Earth in secret for over a hundred years who has knowledge of Darkseid and his reign.

• Aquaman: Will be the King of Atlantis who has a key role in the film.

• There will also be a heavy military presence in the film which in future rewrites could include characters featured in Man of Steel or even Amanda Waller (Angela Bassett) of which neither are included in the first draft.

• Alfred Pennyworth is in the film in a minor appearance.

• Lois Lane is also in the film in a cameo.

• Darkseid's Elite will be featured who go up against the Justice League early on in the film.

General Bat-chat / Live Watch n' Chats

I was thinking we could make this a freq feature.

Obviously Batman Returns will be done again, but I was thinking of a Nolan one for the release of TDKR spread over 3 nights.

Also doing the cartoons. Maybe a couple a night for a few weeks.

Thoughts?

Misc. Nolan / Films of Chris Nolan - Following
Fri, 14 Sep 2012, 10:34
Modern Myth Media have done a podcast on Chris Nolan's first film "Following"

http://ec.libsyn.com/p/0/a/8/0a8c4469e4efc9e0/Episode_87_MMM_Podcast.mp3?d13a76d516d9dec20c3d276ce028ed5089ab1ce3dae902ea1d01cc8031d0c05e79eb&c_id=4926937

Haven't had a chance to listen to the whole podcast so not sure if it's mentioned, but there is also a real evident influence from Edgar Allan Poe - I saw Following years ago long before Batman Begins because of the premise of Following - I was a fan of Poe's "Man of the Crowd". Think about Poe's "Dream within a Dream" too. Has Chris ever mentioned Poe in interviews?

Other links to Poe - Momento won the Edgar Allan Poe Award.

[Another?] Christopher Nolan wrote a book

Just watched a bit of "In Like Flint" and part of the score from Jerry Goldsmith was identical to a bit of the Forever score.

Anyone know if this has been noticed before?

General Bat-chat / Call-out for staff
Mon, 3 Sep 2012, 00:29
We already have a lot of talented and passionate members and editors on the site.

Things are starting to fall into place now with news and feature sections and so it would be great to start getting more content.

Our main area needing input is the news section. I know first hand how hard it is to keep on top of all the Batman news that comes our way which is why I think we need to open up some more staff positions.

We are looking for dedicated individuals with a desire to keep the site updated with news from all areas of the Batman universe. You aren't just restricted to reporting stories - anyone can write features for the site on any topic. We value contribution and collaboration here on the site.

If you think you fit the bill and have the time to spare then privately message me (must be a site member).
Ideally you will have a facebook account too.

(I really don't want to sound like an arrogant sod - but no time-wasters please)
