Over the next few days I will be putting up a load of new graphic novels - some signed - for auction including Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, JLA and more.

All the money from the winning bids goes to charity.

First up is Batman: Hush Unwrapped Hardback

This auction will benefit the charity Refuge - helping women and children escape domestic violence.

Only a few months away from Batman 89's 25th year.

I was thinking of a way to involve large numbers of people.

Karaoke! Get as many fans as possible to video themselves singing along to Batdance and then edit then all together into 1 music video...with Princes audio of course.

Does that sound dumb?

Website The Toyark have posted photos from the Mattel stand - who have just revealed their DC Multiverse range (which covers more than just film and TV) which includes figures of Batman from 1989 and Batman Returns' Penguin and Catwoman and some figures (surfing Batman & Joker) from the 60's Adam West TV show.

Scott Snyder divulged some info on what is coming up in the Zero Year story arc. Returning characters and a big storyline in another Bat-book. Plus Snyder tells how his origin differs from Frank Millers.

I'll be on the radio tonight to talk about Batman, and more specifically Ben Affleck.

The show is Following the Nerd. It's a live radio broadcast that is the posted as a podcast later in the week. Comic artist PJ Holden will be a guest on the show!

I will post a link closer to the time if broadcast if anyone wants to listen.

If anyone wants to give any opinions or suggestions for discussion on the show post them here...it would be nice to give the show a gist of the opinion of you guys on the site.

QuoteA source close to Miller, who also has Sin City and 300 sequels in the pipeline, told the Independent: "Frank had no idea the announcement in San Diego was going to happen so it did come as a surprise. He's going to be meeting up with Zach in the next few days to go over the plans for the Superman film so things should be clearer after that."

http://www.batman-online.com/news/2013/7/20/a-supermanbatman-movie-for-2015-flash-justice-league-too

QuoteWe COULD be due for a major announcement from WB/DC any moment now at San Diego Comic-Con!

According to both LA Times Hero Complex and The Hollywood Reporter Warners are expected to announce plans for...
...a Superman/Batman film in 2015...
...a Flash film in 2016....and...
...a Justice League film in 2017!

Warner Bros is expected to announce at its Hall H panel that Zack Snyder will direct the film as a follow-up to Man of Steel. Henry Cavill is due to return as Superman but a new actor will fill the Bat-boots (Christian Bale has indicated publicly that he has moved on from Batman)! David Goyer will write the script.

Batman and Superman first teamed-up in the comics in 1954 and a movie featuring both characters has been on WB's wish list for years now - going back to the failed attempt to bring them together in Wolfgang Petersen's 2004 Batman vs Superman.
