Took me forever (no pun intended) to come around on Val as Batman, but I'm glad I did it while he was still here. Adored him in The Ghost and the Darkness, The Saint, At First Sight, Red Planet, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Déjà Vu, and so many others. He was a guy who deserved a renaissance as much as any actor ever has and I'm sorry that his final years were marked by ill health. Godspeed, Mr. Kilmer... I'll ask the commissioner to leave the signal on tonight...just in case.

I'm still debating as to whether to even bother with this.

My thing is: I'm one of the rare people out there who thinks that Daredevil (2015) season 1 was one of the best superhero things ever done while also thinking that the rest of the show's run (especially season 2) was the worst crap I've ever wasted time on. I believe that the whole of the Netflix Marvel experiment was a horrendous disaster and when I heard that this show got completely retooled to be more like the OG show I found myself less and less interested in trying it out, especially because I'm told you can see the seams where they've cut and stitched this thing and most of the reviews I'm seeing claim that the original more episodic version of this show is the better stuff. I suppose that's to be expected as I personally think serialization has killed TV as a format because writers don't understand that serials and episodics still basically function the same way on a week to week basis.

This one has me broken up. I adore Hackman and his films. He was a titan of cinema and he remains the greatest Lex Luthor of our time. I am especially alarmed to hear that it was an untimely demise and that his wife, Betsy Arakawa, has also tragically died. Yes, he was an elderly man (95) with perhaps only a few years left, but this bites. Damn it this just chaps my ass something fierce! And his wife as well! It is currently suspected that it was a leak of some kind? My thoughts are with his surviving family. I am not a happy man, today. Rest in peace Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa. I am absolutely devastated.

Peter Dinklage has officially joined the Resurrection cast. He will portray 'Leon Prater,' a billionaire venture capitalist. To the world, Leon is a generous philanthropist, but behind his polished exterior lies dark intrigue. It is understood that he will be the big bad of the season.

A Bruce Wayne show could work if it worked as a story largely about the time he traveled abroad. You could do it as a eastern martial arts show set largely at the dojo and surrounding country or maybe as a wandering man show ala Kung Fu where he walks among the towns and villages of Asia/Europe helping people as a nomadic samurai all before he went back to Gotham.

More on Uma Thurman. She plays Charley, Head of Security for mysterious billionaire Leon Prater. A former Special Ops officer, Charley worked various high-level private security jobs before taking on her position as the resourceful and meticulous right-hand woman for Prater.
Dinklage remains a rumor, I assume he would be playing Prater it he is cast.

It was rumored that Gillian Anderson or Uma Thurman was up for the role Of one of the season's two lead villains. It is now being reported that Uma has joined the cast officially.
