Batman (1989) / Bruce's age in B89

In the novelization, I think it gives an exact age. I'm planning to write an origin fanfic and the timeline needs to be accurate.

Misc. Burton / 89 Cowl VS Returns Cowl

I'm voting for 89. It is nice from all angles, unlike the Returns cowl which I thought looked peculiar from certain angles (Batman meeting up with Penguin, and the shot when he retorts "Things change...")

89's suit was rough, organic, and transformed Bruce Wayne into the creature he was internally. If I were a criminal, I'd never mistake the Returns suit for a "Giant Bat!!" ... that's not to say I dislike it.

Vote for your favorite cowl.

Misc. Burton / Prologue/Epilogue

Summarize your take on Batman's beginning and end. Take ideas, implications, concepts from B89/BR, and be creative too.

Prologue: Bruce Wayne departs from America for the Eastern countries, training under the best martial arts masters, residing most of his pre-Batman years in Japan. When attaining highest rank and besting every last one of his peers and teachers, he returns to Gotham to prepare the crafting of the Batsuit, Batmobile, gadgets, and cave.

[Insert B89/BR]

Epilogue: He is Gotham's hero until old age takes its toll. Bruce lives out a quiet life in his mansion, hosting the occasional exclusive party, and frequently bedding hotties.

It's a great Batman film and my favorite. The Joker is arguably at his best. We even behold pre-Joker as a suave hitman! We also get a better glimpse into Bruce Wayne's motive for being Batman... this is the film that told the ESSENTIAL elements of how Batman began. MOTP is everything a Batman film needs to be: a detective story foremost. Although animated, and just under 80 minutes, it is PROFOUND. This isn't a hero toon for kids. This is a tragic look into death, loss, vengeance, love, and survival.

We shall discuss.
