Hey peeps,

First post in YEARS (I think), still totally addicted to Batman so nothing has changed on that front atleast haha!

My question is, does anyone know when the Batman Returns premier was on ITV?  I remember having it on tape and it being the first Batman film I had and would watch it religiously (now I do the same, but on DVD), but its always held a soft spot in my heart, everything like the adverts, the "Coca Cola sponsors" bits before and after a break, everything!

Does anyone know however when exactly this was?  I've searched around and just can find anything, and like I'm assuming it was around 95 (the tape I had was labeled Batman Forever with a big score through it and Returns under it), but yeah does anyone know when it was, or hell does anyone even remember it?!

It seems that way, 2 weeks ago they had Batman on a few times, and then the last week they've had Returns on twice, and next week they have Forever.

I know it isn't that big of a thing, but I just hope they put Returns on ITV1 on Christmas Eve, I remember they did it a few times, and I just loved it, or well I don't think I watched it, I was kinda scared, but still, its kinda important, isn't it. :-\

Merchandise / Batman Returns Tee's?
Sun, 1 May 2011, 18:59
Anyone know where I might be able to find Batman Returns movie tee's, new, and for a reasonable price?
I know eBay is obvious, but meh, shipping to the UK can be pretty expensive, and really the selection they have just now is pretty poor, and I just wanted to know if anyone of you guys knew where I might be able to get some, or well one, whatever, lol

Thanks

Batman Returns (1992) / Batman Is Bada$$!
Thu, 28 Apr 2011, 13:07
Been watching Returns alot lately, and man, how badass is Batman.  Serioursly, in my opinion, Batman has never been so awesome.
Yea, sure he was pretty aggressive in 89, and in Forever he was again just as aggressive as in 89, and in B&R, well, he did kick some ass.
Even Nolan's stuff, Batman has been pretty damn tamed, yet in Returns Batman is really Batman, you know.  He just doesn't care about the bad guys, to phrase it, they're f***ing with him, so he's gonna f*** them up.
Plus the fighting style is very down and dirty, and aggressive, straight-forward.

^^
My favourite Batman fight, and maybe my favourite film fight ever, just so aggressive and fast, hard-hitting too.

What does everyone else think, was Returns Batman the most aggressive, and 'real' Batman?

Yea, could Batman ever have a film, a serious film with him wearing tights as opposed to the black rubber suit?  Batman is the only hero really to have his costume changed pretty drastically for a film.
I actually would like to see it, and think it would work, but then again, maybe it wouldn't and we'd just be stuck with laughter from audiences.

Yep, we've all seen the deleted one's from the SE DVD by now, and from trailers we can see some little expansions on some scenes, however by using simple maths there is still some 30+ minutes unaccounted for.
We know that the original cut of the film was 2hr 50minutes.  The realesed version is under 2hrs, plus the additional scenes from the SE DVD, that makes up what 15minutes, 20 at best, thats still a huge amount of footage that's still to be seen.

Of course we could add the original ending, which would have been what, a minute, still though, there's still well over 30minutes of footage still out there to be seen.  And I demand it now! ;D

^ A pic of the original ending?

Also, has #3 ever been accounted for?

I don't know how many have heard the rmor of the ending of BF setting up B&R, with Batman and Robin running into a building to get Mr Freeze, and then up would have come 'To Be Continued'.  Now I know its very very unlikely, but theres that much spare footage, I actually wouldn't be suprised fi something along those lines actually was filmed.

Thoughts?

Lets be honest, maybe not alot of people like the film, but damn, the soundtrack was one of the best ever assembled.  This song, the main theme for the film is great, everyone has to love this bad boy, awesome song by an awesome band.

Lets all discuss the greatness of this song.  Also, if anyone ha the red vinyl of it, would they maybe be able to post pics, I'm very close to buying it, so yea, if anyone could that would be very much appeciated.

Mon, 15 Nov 2010, 13:56
Come on, the teaser for B&R is amazing, im my opinion, the best teaser of all time, just a great little 20 seconds telling you all you need to know to get pumped for the film, Batman and Robin, together as a unit, somthing everyone wanted back in 96/97

So, for anyone who hasn't seen this piece of damn art, here it is;

Misc Comics / Villians
Sun, 27 Jun 2010, 11:16
Hi guys,

I was wondering if you guys could post villians, that aren't that well known, and what they do, like if they have powers or what have you.  I ask this because I used to be a huge drawer, and after taking Art last year got back into it, and one day draw a Batman pic, just a simple pic, but alot of people liked it and asked me to do more, so I started drawing more ComicBook stuff, like Bane, Gambit, Wolverine, but most of it was Marvel tbh (due to me not ever reading a Batman comic but seeing pretty much all Comic films), and was just wondering if you could help me out, plus I like to come-up with little storylines, similar to B:TAS, just little storys and stuff, and like to draw the characters so I have a visual, so yea, if you could help me it would be greatly appreciated ;D

Misc. Schumacher / Sequels?
Thu, 24 Jun 2010, 18:51
Well, I've been watching alot of Batman recently, Returns mostly, and read alot about stuff too, so first off this thread ain't just about JS, it does really lend itself to Burton too.

So, yea there has been huge amounts of rumors about the Batman 5, Triumphant, The Frightening, Year One, TDKR, DarKnight, Dark Night, thats all the one's I've heard of anyway, there's maybe, and probably more.
I just wanted to ask people's opinions on the possible plots of these, and to really share stuff they know/have, one of them is the scripts for DarKnight and Triumphant which I know have been floating the Net for years.  I've also read about prototypes of Batman chest logo's, and Movie Bat-Logos, anything really, I'm very interested in this kinda thing, and again, this doesn't just relate to Joel, anything about a possible 3rd Burton film is also welcomed

Thanks to anyone that helps

Yea, well, the title says it all, sure it aint the best, but I think its watchable, its not as bad as everyone makes it out to be, I would take this over Nolan's two any day, much like I said in the BF thread.

And hey, its a Batman film, as Batman fans we should atleast be able to watch this and respect the theme and tone its been given.

Yes, I said it, is Forever the most Perfect Batman film?

This isn't to say its the best, or my favourate, IMO Returns is the best and always will be, but Forever to me will always be great, possibly my 3rd or 4th best, above TDK and BB tbh.

But back on track, why is it perfect, well, it has a dark tone, not as dark as Returns but (much) darker than B&R.  It also has a fairly simple story, yet because it's simple it makes it believable, but then to me, all the films have storylines which make sense, so yea.  But, it also has a comic sense to it, a tone which wasn't in the first two much, but dominated B&R (and is no where to be seen in Nolans films, just sayin'). Plus, it has an amzing soundtrack, lol, U2's "Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me" is great, I for one love it.

But yea, does anyone else agree that Forever may be the Perfect Batman Film

Hi, well, I've just seen that Batman/Robin appeared in the SuperMan:TAS and was wondering if you guys could tell me which episodes lead up/build the story and which they appeared in?

Thanks, and its much appreciated

Batman: TAS (1992 - 1995) / Finally!
Mon, 5 Apr 2010, 19:59
Finally I have all the episodes from the Batman:TAS, the real one, from the first years.  I bought the third Volume of the set, which marked my collection finsihed.

So, to give this meaning, what version did you like better, the first version, or the latter, where the it was all three battling instead of Bataman and at times Robin?

Well, I don't know if this is the right place for this, but I just watched Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, and by god, I thought it was amazing, really good film, great hearing Conroy as Batman again, and I just loved the fight between Superman and that Metallo guy (sorry, I don't know anything about Batman/Superman, or hell, any otehr comic book stuff)

But yeah, a tad too short however, but a good film nonetheless, makes me really up for seeing a possible live action Batman/Superman Movie some time in the future

Merchandise / Batman/Superman Script
Mon, 31 Aug 2009, 17:11
OK, now I know that this place is not right for this thread, however, I had no idea where to put it, so, yeah, if this needs to be moved, I'm sure someone can/would

Right, so does anyone have or know where I can see the Batman/Superman script, or even if they could describe what the fight between Batman/Superman is like?

Thanks

Batman (1989) / The Original Ending?
Sat, 25 Jul 2009, 15:50
Well, in the S.E DVD they say that the ending was changed to the one in the Church, which is great I may add. However, I've alays wondered, what was the original ending?

And, with this site beeing so huge and having many resources, I juts thought that people here might have heard about this?

Thanks
