Batman (1989) / Re: Prince and Batman 89

There is certain themes in the Elfman soundrack which have the Scandalous theme in it. Scandalous was composed by John T. Nelson - who is Prince's Dad. So I'd say the collaborated on this at least to work it into the score.

As someone mentioned about Nolans 'real world' aspect on his Batman films. I think that aspect on the Batman universe is ridiculas in ways. Batman is a fantasy to me, a man dressing up as a bat to fight crime. It came from comic books.

So the whole idea about making a functioning bat-suit is ridiculas. Its a film, and illusion, fake. It doesnt have to work in the real world. It just has to look good and intimadate like a previous poster said.

Like Frank Miller once said "I don't want to see Supermans sweat patches, I want to see him fly!"

Someone should tell Nolan that.

Agreed!!! Happy Birthday Michael.

You know the suit from Burtons original Batman is still my favourite. Returns is more refined, but I like the animal/human look of the first film.

Returns is a close second.

Not fond of Nolans Batsuits, never was. Too japanese or robotic looking.

Check out this rare trailer! Some good outtakes in it too and different cuts.
