Why do your posts sound so much like a shill for Omni Music?

Lol,  A shill far from it.  I'm just very passionate about both Film Scores and all things pertaining to Burton's & Elfman's Batman it's as simple as that.

Hi Everyone,

Hope the holidays are going well for you all!!! Anyway, I thought I share with you a wonderful opportunity.  Omni Music Publishing is doing a special limited time offer for the complete engraved Full Score releases of both Batman & Batman Returns.  Buy them both together at a special sale price of $125.00. or get Batman Returns for only $65.00.  Recently, Omni Music just released the 2nd edition book of Batman 1989, which is originally valued at $75. I had the great fortune of being able to help with some of the proof reading for this new edition as well as help restore "Rescue Alt." Cue as it is a vast improvement over the 1st edition.

Anyway, here is the product details. Don't miss your chance to purchase these masterpiece scores, the offer expires December 31st.  Happy Holidays Everyone!!!

Hey Everyone,

I know that during this difficult time a lot of people are quarantined and doing their best to stay safe, but in light of all the chaos this pandemic has brought something interesting has occurred.  I've noticed that quite a few celebrities are starting to do live audio commentaries of their movies and posting it on youtube.  Since quite frankly they have more free time.  Zach Synder did a commentary for BVS,  Pierce Brosnan did one for Goldeneye,  Joseph Mazzello did one for Jurrassic Park,  Kevin Smith did one for Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, and I'm sure many more are doing them.  Anyway it got me thinking and I thought if there is any possible way we can get in touch with Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson, Danny Devito, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kim Basinger, Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, Danny Elfman, and any other celebrities you can think of etc etc.   Maybe we can see some of these celebrities do a live commentary for Batman, Batman Returns, Mask of the Phantasm etc etc.  Especially, since Warner Bros.  is unlikely to  release any new commentaries with the blu ray releases.  Now is the time I believe to ask the actors if they would be willing to participate since everyone is pretty much stuck at home trying to keep from being bored and staying relevant.  What do you guys think?

I honestly wasn't sure where to put this topic, but I happened to stumble on what might be the most bizarre attempt to make a Bat Woman movie back in 1966.  Has anyone ever seen or heard of this movie before?

That's very well done.

As annoying as it may have been, I guess back then, there was no way they could've pulled off that scene while Keaton was wearing black eye make-up. Not unless the camera cuts back to Catwoman just before he completely unmasked himself.

I guess, in Burton's mind, the continuity error was an acceptable compromise to achieve the shot he wanted.  :-\

Another alternative way Burton could have filmed the scene would be for the camera to shoot from behind Batman's head while he begins to unmask. The camera then pans to a low shoulder angle from behind then cuts to Selina and Max's reaction before Batman's face is revealed to the audience. I believe that this version would actually keep Batman's unmasking more mysterious.  A good reference for this would be from watching the unmasking scene in Batman the animated series episode Robin's Reckoning Part II. Where Batman brings Dick Grayson back to the bat cave and asks him just how badly he wants Tony Zucco? The scene doesn't directly reveal Batman face as he reveals his identity to Dick Grayson.

Before Batman rips off his mask to reveal his identity to Selina. It is made visibly clear that Batman's eye makeup is removed.  Now, this isn't news to anyone who's watched the movie over a dozen times,  but what's interesting is that someone made an effort to fix the scene and keep the continuity of the eye makeup. Right up to the point when Bruce's face is revealed.  Personally, I wish this was how it was done originally.  What do you guys think?

Did anyone else notice that the music featured in The Batman costume test footage was only one note shy of the Darth Vader Motif?

Listen to how close the theme was to Vader.
