So has anyone on the board checked this one out yet?

Just got back from seeing it, and have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. Being a fan of the Alien franchise (well ... the first two anyways), this film automatically peaked my interest, and even though I wouldn't necessarily label the movie as a Alien movie, I would say that it's definately set in the same universe with definite nods to scenes/elements from the Alien franchise for sure.

"Imagination is a quality given a man to compensate him for what he is not, and a sense of humour was provided to console him for what he is."

I saw it and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. It was an even film. It never lost my interest and it raised interesting, thought provoking points.

Fassbender was the clear stand-out for me.

Saw it yesterday and I enjoyed it. Some very intense moments and interesting scientific questions. There's definitely need for a sequel.
