Not at all surprised they tried to torpedo this article. Last year, Fisher did an interview with Forbes about the JL reshoots, and it resulted in the sacking of the contributor who wrote the story. The story itself was edited with comments from Whedon's representative.

At the risk of exaggerating, I've never seen a movie studio in such disarray in my whole life.

WB singlehandedly killed the Snyder Cut in 2017, committee-banged the movie into Whedon's travesty, alienated most of the cast and crew, lied to the public, possibly covered up for Whedon's wrongdoings, got arm-wrestled into releasing ZSJL by AT&T and even now are retaliating against whistleblowers and reformers.

Even Disney would've taken the L and moved on by now. But WB isn't letting up. Any other movie studio would've at least made a public show of making nice with Ray Fisher, promising to remove corruption and other boilerplate nonsense. WB digging in like this is truly something else.

But with any company, you eventually get to a point where the sustained negative PR is untenable when correcting requires only a half-ass public apology and eating of minimal amounts of crow. This entire episode is utterly stupefying.

Interesting bit of trivia: Kim Masters co-wrote an expose on Kevin Tsujihara back in 2019. Tsujihara was the previous WB CEO who quit the role amid a sex scandal. He was also referenced in the latest article when Gal Gadot reported to him to express her complaints over Whedon, and was one of the key people responsible for the JL reshoot fiasco. She's no stranger when it comes to reporting WB controversies.

I'm baffled and outraged by a lot of details in this article, even if some of these were already revealed a while ago. The executives apparently freaking out over Cyborg being "an angry black man" is incomprehensible. Was Cyborg any more angry and irrational than, say, Batman in BvS? I don't think so. Anyone who looks at Victor Stone's journey throughout ZSJL and still oversimply him as an angry black man needs to take a good hard look at themselves. What a horribly skewed perspective.

Meanwhile, YouTuber and Snyder fan FilmGob shared this screenshot containing an email from anonymous sources back in 2018. Spliced together with a screenshot from the latest article, not only does it corroborate what Jeremy Irons may have done, but also everything the THR article had detailed. These details had been shared on Reddit for some time too.

You seem to have faith in AT&T. Well, you better hope they're starting to clean house as we speak right now, because not only are Warner Butchers trying to run a narrative that ZSJL is less successful on HBO Max - without giving the full data to back up such claims - it's now alleged that they have refused to distribute the film for a release in China.

It doesn't surprise me how low they will go to sabotage ZSJL. From forcing Zack to cut John Stewart out of the ending, to leaking the entire film at Tom & Jerry's expense the week before the release date, to gaslighting the fans as being toxic while overlooking their own toxicity and mistreatment of directors and actors behind the scenes, Warner Butchers have demonstrated themselves to be despicable and shameless pieces of sh*t. Until things change quickly, ZSJL will be the last WB film I'll ever spend any money on.

They've admitted to publicly releasing false information and refuse to apologize.

I do feel for him. It's bad enough he saw his character arc thrown away and got insulted and threatened on set, he knew he was putting his career on the line by daring to speak out against these people, and he was given false hope that the parent company would resolve the matter. Instead, he gets punished for speaking out. It's despicable.

Nevertheless, I'm honestly glad he did speak out, because he has put a spotlight on how rotten these people really are, including those in charge of WarnerMedia. AT&T needs to clean that entire place up. But will they?

Ray Fisher has announced he will not be supporting any production by Walter Hamada, but would open to the idea of playing Cyborg again if WB takes responsibility, and is rather hopeful that the merger with Discovery changes things for the better.

I wouldn't support any movie production knowing this studio has sabotaged and damaged people who worked on their one showpiece out of greed and ego. Don't underestimate Fisher as being the lone voice, there are plenty of fans who are super pissed off with what has been revealed over the last three and a half years.

FFS, I understand some people can't help themselves and want to make money out of the YouTube algorithm, but why the hell would anyone make this video if they weren't going to keep their word? At the very least, he should delete this video, because whether he's pro Snyderverse or not, it makes him look foolish at best. At worst, the video is performative and hollow.
