Obviously, Keaton's Batman.

2nd fav ... well being a bit of a Hulk fan, I'll go with the Hulk. Though I really cant choose which actor out of the 2003/2008 films I like better, as I felt Bana worked well with Ang Lee's film, and Norton worked well with the 2008 flick.

Yeah, that scene is "magic"  ;D
I love Bats first appearance. He comes from nowhere, punch the bad guys and capture Scarecrow. That is The Batman!

Definately one of my favourite Batman scenes out of TDK.

I particularly love the far away shot of Bale's Batman walking away and begins looking down as the Scarecrow attempts to escape.

Kilmer was a adequate Batman in my personal opinion. Actually, I liked him alright in the role back in 1995 when Batman Forever made it's debut that summer.

As far as ranking him with the other Bat-Men who have put on the cowl for the big budgeted WB films, I would place Kilmer as the 3rd best. Behind Keaton, and Bale of course.

Clooney? Never cared for his Batman. At. All.

To me, Clooney was just Clooney in B&R. With the same exact mannerisms, and tone of voice I've seen from alot of other stuff I can sit here and go thru.

I absolutely LOVE the Adam West Batman Tv Show!

Why? Partly because it's just good fun, and partly due to sentimental reasons as I vividly remember watching the show quite a bit in syndication during Batman 1989's theatrical run.

Personally, I find it just alot of fun to watch from time to time. The production values (especially for Seasons 1+2, and not so much 3) were top notch, and all of the regular actor's were good as well. As for the villains, alot of them were extremely entertaining. Gorshin, Romero, Meredith, Newmar, Price, Buono, Meriwether, Kitt, Mcdowall ... all great stuff. The crossover where Batman and Robin meet The Green Hornet and Kato is another favourite I like watching from time to time as well.

I can certainly understand the dissatisfaction some fans have with the mainstream media often associating anything Batman related with "Holy!", or "POW!" ect ect ... however I don't feel as if it's something that the show itself should be ashamed of. I just take it as the show being such a huge success, and having such a large impact on the culture, that alot of the folks in the mainstream press, even to this day, associate Batman with the show if even in just a affectionate light hearted way. Much like any mention of Star Trek may often draw impressions of Shatner-isms. Even to this day.

Misc Comics / Re: Favorite Batman artist
Thu, 21 May 2009, 21:20

Jim Aparo (his Batman will forever be what comes to my mind first when thinking of Batman. As he was still working on the Batman title when I began collecting comics, and needless to say already having a huge interest in getting as many Batman comics as possible)

Bob Kane (Having read, and re-read the Batman archives during my youth, which is being re-collected at a much cheaper price with the Batman Chronicles, I took a liking to Kane's art style right away. It certainly left an impression on me, and is definately a favourite of mine. Good stuff)

Brian Bolland (just a great artist, and TKJ was another favourite book that was on my radar soon after I began collecting comics. How could it not be? It's by far the most accepted version of the Joker's origin, and that alone was required reading material for me. Bolland's Joker just reeks of awesomeness as well)

Frank Miller (mainly due to The Dark Knight Returns)

Neal Adams (such a great artist, with one of the best Batman ever seen in comics, hands down)

Dick Sprang (Sprang's Batman is just awesome, and I'll always have an affinity for it. Really enjoyed seeing him do some covers for Detective Comics during the early 1990s. And of course the Two-Face Strikes Twice 2 parter)

Kelley Jones (I began to seriously collect Batman comics right around the time that Knightfall was about to start. His covers are extremely memorable to me, and I honestly enjoyed his work on the Batman title a few years later)

Jim Lee (Lee's artwork ... Hush ... All Star ... there's just not much to dislike to be quite honest here!)

Misc. Burton / Re: Best Gotham
Wed, 20 May 2009, 21:56

1989 Gotham.

The Gotham for Returns is nice as well, but I find the Gotham seen in Burton's first Bat-flick more to my liking overall. As I could definately see something like a Batman being a product so-to-speak of that sort of environment.

My thoughts exactly (or what about the woman with the feather headdress). :D ;)

Yeah, there was her too. I mean, it would appear as if he might have had some options before making himself known to Gotham .. and in his position you really can't afford to be too choosy. However, maybe there just wasnt much interest in sex living in the sewers (perfectly understandable), which is why Penguin began getting more frisky during his alliance with Max?

Cause we already know some of the Gotham girls didnt find Penguin too repulsive .. hell he was basically groping the chick with the dirty blonde hair after announcing his candidacy for Mayor!  :D
