Bruce is traumatised about not being able to save Selina but why doesn't he feel the same way, if not worse, about failing to save the Ice Princess?  Unlike Selina, the Princess didn't kill herself.

Also, Chip seems too much of a bully-boy brainless thug to be committed to a mental institute.  I can see him becoming a sociopathic murderer who stalks women, mainly prostitutes, like Patrick Bateman from 'American Psycho', to take out his anger against Catwoman for murdering his old man.

because it was the ice princess' own incomprehensible stupidity that got her killed. with the least bit of brainpower she could have saved herself. not much he could have done. and unlike you he didn't have this sick obsession with her.

Catwoman, there's no need to insult Johnny like that. Please be respectful around here.

What should the storyline be? For me, I'd like to see Bruce feeling guilt for not being able to save Selina and choosing to retire as Batman as a result of this. Meanwhile, Harvey(who is now friends with Bruce) is effectively cleaning up Gotham in his place until the city's biggest mob boss since Carl Grissom, Rupert Throne, kills Harvey's family and somehow scars half his face and causes him to become Two-Face who then starts a gang war with Thorne. So it's up to Bruce to return as Batman so he can save Two-Face and redeem himself at the same time.

What do you guys think should be the storyline?

Yeah, I've seen various clips of the 1990 Captain America movie on Youtube. But I still brought Cap up because I'm talking about if these characters were being adapted in the 80's with the budget and respect from the studios as they are today.

I agree with you that good storytelling matters more than special effects. As much as I love old-fashioned practical effects, a lot of the times, they just don't look as realistic as big-budget CGI. Superman definitely looks better flying in CGI than with the old front projections. But those films and the Burton Batman films still work for me because of the solid writing and directing.

Bluescreen and animation could get the job done for Spider-Man but what I said, was that I don't think it was possible at the time to do an ACCURATE representation of Spidey's agility and speed from the comics. In terms of the villains, I think Doc Ock could be done with strings being pulled for each of his mechanical arms and maybe have the camera being undercranked to add more speed to the arms'movements. For the Lizard, I think seeing a stop-motion version with animatronics for the close-ups would be pretty cool. It'd be more visually appealing to look at his awful CGI work in The Amazing Spider-Man.

When you consider the special effects limitations of the 80's, which superheroes do you think that didn't make it to the big screen back then, could've been pulled off well?

For me, I can see them doing a Captain America movie not unlike a Schwarzenegger or Stallone film at the time. I think they can pull off SOME of the X-Men characters such as Cyclops or Toad but I can't picture them being able to do characters like Sebastian Shaw or Wolverine very well. I think an accurate representation of Hulk or Spidey would've been impossible for the time.

Who do you think could've been pulled off in the 80's?

What do you guys think is the best fight scene in a superhero movie? For me, the word "best" is a little too broad so I guess I'm gonna talk about what fight is the best in what context.

In terms of the pure "awesome" factor(as in the joy of seeing it onscreen), the battle of New York in The Avengers is probably the most satisfying. Because while we've seen various superheroes fighting alongside each other at once in the X-Men and Fantastic Four movies, we haven't seen a fight with THIS scale.

But in terms of suspense and tension, I'd probably go with the first fight between Batman and Bane in The Dark Knight Rises. While I've heard a few complain that Batman and Bane just look they're brawling in this scene, not using various deadly styles of martial arts they've learned from the League of Shadows, I think they're missing the point. In real-life, skilled martial artists don't do a gazillion karate kicks and backflips in a fight like they do in the movies, they rely more on grapples and fists which added a sense of realism in this fight along with the lack of music and the sounds of grunts and thuds further add to it.

What do you think is the best fight scene in a superhero movie?

I think in terms of pure AMBITION, MCU easily beats them all. But in terms of quality, I think The Dark Knight trilogy is probably the most consistent. There hasn't been a single decent Superman film since Superman II in my opinion.

The Burton/Schumacher Batman franchise is probably the most inconsistent. I thought the '89 film was great, Returns was good but certainly flawed, Forever was a mixed bag(occasional great ideas, occasional stupidity), and Batman & Robin is another one of those "so bad, it's good" movies for me.

While I don't think any of the Blade movies were GREAT, but I thought the first two were great, gory fun with ENOUGH of an emotional center for you to care. The third film on the other hand, just felt like a generic music video disguised as a film.

I actually think the first X-Men is quite overrated. While it wasn't bad, it was just sorta bland and ho-hum in hindsight with nothing really memorable about it. X2 was an excellent follow-up, though. It explored the characters and themes much deeper, had much better cinematography and action, and actually took a few risks with the story I didn't expect. X-Men: The Last Stand was more satisfying than both on a pure VISCERAL level, but it lacked the heart or complexity that made the second film so successful. While X-Men Origins: Wolverine was pretty cliche and weak with its script, I DID enjoy it more as a simple action romp than any of the other X-Men films so I will give it that.  X-Men: First Class is the only X-Men film to rival X2 with its script, characters, and ideas while still being an entertaining comic-book movie. The Wolverine was GOOD, but the plot got overly convoluted towards the end and I thought the robot samurai was just too over-the-top and silly for what is, a more low-key, character-driven story than the previous films.

I thought the Raimi Spider-Man trilogy was pretty good overall. The first Spider-Man certainly wasn't deep or thought-provoking, but it had enough heart and charm to make up for those weaknesses. The second film on the other hand, had a much deeper, more emotionally engrossing script, better written characters, and overall, just a smarter film than the original. The third film certainly had its problems, but it was entertaining from beginning to end and there were a lot of really good, memorable scenes in it so I didn't hate it.  The reboot just came off bland and soulless and the sequel was just BAD. The love story was just constant bickering and arguing without going anywhere until the last 20 minutes. The villains were all rushed and poorly developed. And Spider-Man himself wasn't even in the film much after the first 15 minutes.

The Fantastic Four movies were just 2 hour visual effects reels with barely any story going on.

I haven't seen the first Hellboy but I thought the second film was a lot of fun. While it wasn't anything special in terms of story, it was just so much fun with its humor, action, and visuals so it really didn't bother me.

If all four of the main villains of the Burton/Schumacher films(Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Mr. Freeze) got into a gang war with each other, who do you think would win?

I think I'd go with the Riddler for this one. His insane wealth and scientific knowledge will probably be enough for him to defeat all the other villains.

Who do you think would win?
