the problem is with the bar being set so high with Arkham City, it is a tough act to follow.

Too bad because batman and spider-man are the only two comic characters to get several good games.

Bob, Dark Knight: I've seen BB footage of course, someone was courteous enough to upload a complete XBOX playthrough, including cutscenes, with good quality and NO commentary. Games from the PS2 era still hold up nicely, the game looks good. Yet, actually picking up the joypad is another story.

The only thing that really feels old is including actual footage from the movie in the game - it's better to recreate film's scenes using the game's engine.

I find it funny that while the driving levels in BRCD were so good, with a great scaling effect that offers a convincing 3d illusion and tight controls (basically a shooter version of OutRunners), almost every batmobile stage made in the PS/PS2 era was badly messed up and unplayable. Thus, I wondered if the Bat-tumbler level was fun, or a brief ordeal before the game resumes (like it was in Vengeance).

It doesn't hold up graphic wise to the new Arkham games obviously but at the time it was great to see a new Batman game based on one of the movies.

Not the Arkhamverse by any stretch, but definitely the raw precursor to it.

Well, if one snubbed every video game (Bat-themed or not) that lacks in comparison to the Arkhamverse, then, there wouldn't be many games left to play, would they? ;)

WHAT IF THE DARK KNIGHT RISES WAS A VIDEO GAME
(gamesradar.com)

"So, yeah. That's our brief interpretation of The Dark Knight Rises told via the artistic style of quick-time events. How did we do? Were there any obvious scenes that would go well with a nice bit of button mashing? Let us know in the comments below."

(since there was no PC/console version, it's easy to forget a TDKR game actually exists)
