I haven't seen this being mentioned a lot.

Did anyone else notice Zimmer's nod to Elfman's theme? It's at the beginning of track 2 and the middle of track 16 (about 7:20-to-8:10). It's performed quite slow on low registers.

It's similar to the "WB logo" statement of the theme, at the beginning of the two films.

I also heard another - "Descent into Mystery".

See if you can find it.

No ralegh, just tell us!! lol

I think TDK soundtrack is great by the way.

Better than begins.

I can't tell you cause I'm still in work!

I will find it on the way home in the car and post it tomorrow.

It's actually heard in a couple of places in the same track.

You mean the beginning of "Dog Chasing Cars"?

This mix of classic stuff with the Zimmeresque music makes it all the more thrilling. These references don't clash with the tone of the film or its music.

'Like A Dog Chasing Cars' is my favourite track on The Dark Knight soundtrack. It has some splendidly thumping heroic Batman music, and ends with some twisted Joker theme.

ok, ok go to "I'm not a Hero" and listen around 3mins 30secs - it lasts for about 10secs and is very very similiar to "Descent into Mystery"'s beginning.

You have to really listen because they seems to be a another piece playing over it.

Yeah, I heard it. Good ears!

Dog Chasing Cars is indeed Zimmer at his best.

I must check that out.
