My reaction to that blog:  ::) In hindsight, I guess I shouldn't really have paid attention to it, because Screen Rant is another website that's notorious for using clickbait. If anything, this piece would've been better if the headline spun the narrative how Suicide Squad might've laid the foundation for Leto becoming the best live action portral of the Joker. It's all speculative of course, but it's a little more reasonable than outright calling him the best.

Look, I haven't liked with any other live action portrayals of the character since Nicholson's interpretation, with the exception of what I've seen of Cameron Monaghan's Jerome (and even then, he's not officially the Joker). The footage with Leto in Suicide Squad looked far too choppy and incomplete for my liking, and let's face it, he had very little to do for an actor who got second billing.

I can't say for certain that the deleted footage would've made me appreciate his role in SS much better. But all I can say is I'm willing to give him another chance. Who knows, maybe a better script giving him a much more substantial role will let him shine.
QuoteJonathan Nolan: He [Batman] has this one rule, as the Joker says in The Dark Knight. But he does wind up breaking it. Does he break it in the third film?

Christopher Nolan: He breaks it in...

Jonathan Nolan: ...the first two.

The headline alone made my head hurt so bad I couldn't fathom hitting the link.

No, no, no. And furthermore, hell no.
