Smells like BS to me.  Sounds almost as absurd as the Matt Damon 'Robin rumour'.

You're right.  Surely this is first and foremost a 'Superman' sequel with potential to spin-off into a separate Batman franchise.  Has Snyder et al already gotten bored with Superman?  Are they more interested in the 'cooler' Batman and is that why Nolan is no longer a part of this project?

It seems to me there is indeed going to be a good chunk of Batman here, set in the context of MOS. They're shooting in Detroit, which is likely to be Gotham. Timothy Dalton could be playing Alfred, etc. A set-up for Batman's solo world at the same time. I can see there being a Superman villain and a Batman villain, one for each to take on in a finale.

I feel for Superman fans, but at the same time, want as much Batman as possible because that's my thing.
