I love Christmas movies! A lot of them just have that special something that gets you in the mood and brings a smile to your face. I watch a lot of them during the season but I'll have to say my top three, in no particular order, are:

Home Alone
Home Alone 2 and It's a Wonderful Life

Just finished watching Batman Returns and only just noticed that the mayor had a knife in his back, as his costume at the masquerade ball.

This was what figuratively happened to him by Shreck and others. Love the subtlety in Burton's Batfilms and the sly nuances.

Now this is a trailer!

Not the best trailer but the movie should be fine.

Universal may have successfully brought old monsters into a new world. Could be the surprise hit of the summer.

Looks much better than the first.

I like it!

There are a lot of franchises out there, but only a few are considered truly worthwhile. What's your favorite movie franchises?

For me:

1. Batman (especially because of the Burton/Nolan series)
2. James Bond
3. Lord of the Rings
4. Indiana Jones
5. Pirates of the Caribbean/Superman

I know some don't like the term double dipping but although we got a 20th and 25th anniversary Special Editions, I would like to see a 30th anniversary. There is still a lot of specials from TV, interviews and footage that were  were not included in past editions.

This film still resonates with millions and WB should really give us an Ultimate Edition.

Not bad....

Personally, not really interested but it looks good for those who were anticipating it.

I enjoyed the first film, didn't quite hold up on subsequent viewings but still looking forward to the others. But Cameron, being the perfectionist that he is, we may have to wait a VERY long time for them.

The film went before cameras yesterday and there is still a lot of speculation about who the villain or villains will be. There is a lot that alludes to Darkseid but two recent, separate reports say it could actually be between Atlantis and the surface dwellers. We won't know for sure until we see a synopsis.
