A lot of people are just dumbed down by todays movies where everything is spelled out and explained verbally.  After the plane crash Batman was barely standing, and instead of blatantly explaining that, we have subtle glimpses that audiences of its times should get, like Batman being dizzy after exiting the wreck and then even stumbling and falling while walking in the cathedral. He was extremely weakened

Well Batman is "the night", so I always looked at the yellow oval as a symbolic moon in the night. Plus, when he wears an armor, its whats drawing the fire. As for being blue, well, beetles arent blue either yet we have Blue Beetle. Spiders arent blue yet Spidermans blue and red.

Im looking for panels which specifically state that Batman's suit is blue. I have two from  The Super-Key to Fort Superman, but I know theres at least one more which I cant find

Another thing to add.  I was rereading my Tales of the Demon collection and in one of the stories, "Where Strike the Assassins" (Detective Comics #489), the leader of the League of Assassins, The Sensei, says to a hostage, "You have my permission to die."

Hmm, do you have that panel? Ive been looking for this issue like crazy since you mentioned it here, but cant find it anywhere
