Messages - The Dark Knight

I am feeling the loss of his death even more after seeing the film. Such a waste, his career would have exploded after this. Seeing him on screen didn't make me cry or sad, it made me smile. Where ever you are Heath, you did an amazing job, and thank you for doing so. You made all the Batman fans very happy. This will go down as one of THE great performances, and the benchmark for The Joker on film. It is a deep shame he will never reprise this role.

Before I saw TDK I watched Begins the day before. I thought Begins was excellent, but TDK beat it out. The two Nolan films look and feel very alike and together, unlike the two Burton films.

The viral campaigning is over. I'm almost sad, it has been a terrific build up to the release and it never let up.

I highly doubt we will be seeing any TDK game on a next generation console at this stage.

Jack Nicholson had this to say about Heath Ledger's portayal of The Joker:

"Heath has taken him to a new level.  I couldn't tear my eyes away."
Nicholson is being a good sport, his assessment is correct. Heath had nothing but respect for Jack's portrayal. It is clear to me that Ledger is the better of the two by a fair margin.

If Ledger does not get an Oscar for this, I have lost faith in the system. Ledger had electricity running through his body. He was downright sinister, I felt bad for laughing at his behaviour. A landmark villain in this type of film.

I walked out of the theatre with my head held high. Ledger wipes the floor with Nicholson and is the definitive Joker for now and forever. TDK is not only the best Batman film, but it is a good film in its own right. 10/10.
