Well, the tease by Junkie XL turned out to be a false alarm, the tweet was about him promoting his brass library. The comment about "now I know better than to mark November 17 on my calendar" with a wink is rather curious.

No matter. Snyder kept uploading more goodies, including these new images of Bruce Wayne and Diana.

Meanwhile, Joe Manganiello aka Slade Wilson/Deathstroke showed his support for the cut on his Instagram page, together with all of these images from his scene in the movie.

Following up with that, Clay Staub - the second unit director who already expressed his support for the Snyder cut days ago - made another tweet to show his support including a picture of Deathstroke behind the camera.

With all the new arrivals-Deathstroke's just waiting to come aboard Lex...it's time to experience the "real" #JusticeLeague. #ReleaseTheSnyderCut

Damon Lindelof, one of the key creators behind Lost and the head of HBO's Watchmen, showed his support too.

Former DC Entertainment head and one of the key alleged instigators behind the JL reshoots, Diane Nelson, has surprisingly tweeted the hashtag, and told a fan Snyder should be allowed to release his cut if he has the time and resources, as well as "he earned it".

Stunt co-ordinator Freddy Bouciegues, who worked on the film, released this video of fight rehearsals, many of which weren't seen in the the theatrical version.

I've seen other actors who worked with Snyder, such as Jackie Earle Haley who played Rorschach in the Watchmen movie showing his support on Twitter too.

Still anticipating to see what will happen in the coming days. If this isn't coordinated by Warner and the longer they keep silent now more actors are coming out to support the director's vision, the bigger the backlash will be.

Lee Bermejo also showed his support on Instagram, including this black and white drawing of the League that he did two years ago.

I want to see the real version of the film, but I'm also a realist. The Snyder cut is fool's gold.

Anyone who seriously believes it's coming out soon is delusional and are only setting themselves up for more frustration. Why would a studio that reshot a movie and deliberately changed course now release something that would be better than what they actually put out? It's about pride. They're looking forward now, not back.

And these tweets mean absolutely nothing. Cast and crew does not equal studio agreement - they're supporting a friend. As I posted before, I have no problem with people venting, but it's only shouting at the sky.

Then you're an even bigger fool if you choose to keep supporting that rubbish studio, TDK. People are not just going to give up and forget about it. Consider this, if they don't release the cut, all that tells people is Warner will try to meddle with their films again. What's the point of getting excited for anything they do now we know they'll sabotage their movies when it suits them? Don't you understand that? If this is how they do business, it's NOT looking forwards. What they're doing IS backwards.

What you are saying is defeatist garbage. How pathetic.

Besides, who said anything this is guaranteed studio agreement? This is about putting pressure on the studio on trying to do the right thing, by the fans, and the cast and crew.

Maybe you're happy being taken for a ride, but I don't. And neither do a lot of people. Expect the backlash to be severe if Warner tries to ignore the demand.

I think there are reasons to be optimistic. The regime that greenlit and then butchered Justice League is long gone. It's not their quagmire. Their fingerprints are only on WB's successes with DC characters. They have less to lose by considering a Snyder cut release than the previous regime did.

That doesn't guarantee the Snyder cut's release, of course. But it does mean that today's WB doesn't have anywhere near as much ego riding on this thing as the previous administration did.

This is anything but a lost cause.

There are some blind optimists within the Snyder cut community who hope the release of film will restore Snyder's five part story arc. This is is a pipe dream, I must admit. The fact that Snyder has spoiled his own ideas to sequels that never got made shows there's no chance of getting any of that getting restored.

But what there IS hope in getting restored is the JL film that he got to make before he left. One that is locked up in a vault somewhere while another, heavily tampered version is sold under false pretenses. I think THAT is worth fighting for. And if Warner wants to start fulfilling its PR spin of being "a director-driven studio" then it owes Zack Snyder and everybody else who worked on the film to have it released. At the very least.

Meanwhile, I found this great opinion piece from a university news site explaining why the Snyder cut matters.

Wanting something is irrelevant to this debate - detachment from emotion is the only way to make logical assessments in life. Real battles can only be fought when they is an active participant. The ball hasn't moved any further because the studio aren't biting. They're not going to bite, and I don't see them doing so for a long time if ever. No real pressure has been put on. WB will just ride out the storm, just as that Twitter trending day came and went.  New people in the same seats doesn't move the ball forward either, because they still share the same brand. Cold hard reality.

There is a saying that goes "the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing". If you don't take initiative, you'll won't get anywhere in life. The whole point of that Twitter event from nearly two weeks ago is to show there is a demand for the cut, and fans wanted to express their support for Snyder's vision. Make no mistake, support is growing. If you can't appreciate that, and can't even get excited that the majority of the cast and crew support this, then I'm seriously questioning your fandom of these films, no matter how many times you say you "want" this cut.

You can doubt the likelihood of the cut coming out sooner than later all you want. But if you're really a fan of what Snyder was doing, you're doing him and yourself a huge disservice if you think calling for the cut is a waste of time.

Besides, Warner can't get away with taking advantage of using someone's tragedy and sell the movie and false pretenses. Nobody should tolerate such unforgivable conduct by a film studio that has the nerve in priding its "director driven". If WB doesn't care about what its fans, directors and actors want then one must ask themselves why should they keep supporting such a studio.

Meanwhile, Variety today ran a hit piece against the Snyder cut (probably those deceitful hacks at Warner put them up to it in an effort to discourage the movement), but Forbes writer Mark Hughes has taken the opportunity to show his support for the cut and why Warner should release it. What do you know, a journalist who reports the facts! Seems quite rare nowadays, and it's even more impressive that he admitted to being wrong for feeling skeptical about its state of completion too. Props to him.

My only issue is he insists the cut being shown on HBO Max. As far as I know, it's not planned to be available to non-US markets yet. But according to YouTube blogger Grace Randolph, she thinks that is very likely:

Quote
LOOK, it's obvious SnyderCut would be on @hbomax which launches May 2020 - keep that in mind re any announcements.

WB doesn't want to peak too early, and there's no immediate rush.

This is Disney Sony Spider-Man all over again with clickbait stories.  ::)

I'm not exactly a big fan of hers, I find her obnoxious and eccentric. But I do remember her rightfully calling out the Disney-Sony fuss over Spider-Man was a publicity stunt and the two studios were still in negotiations, so maybe she might have some info. To apply further context, she said the movement's Twitter campaign was being closely monitored. This is what she said when the hashtag rose to record numbers on that Sunday:

Quote
#ReleaseTheSnyderCut

IMPORTANT - nothing will be announced today.

There are...discussions already happening.

You are not only making it clear there's a large audience for this, but u are giving Zack negotiating power to get everything he wants. ;)

THAT is what today is about.

https://twitter.com/GraceRandolph/status/1196173033318297606

Could she be lying? Or being misled? Time will tell. Either way, don't expect the movement to disappear any time soon.

In the meantime, Snyder went to Vero once again to share these images of Willem Defoe as Vulko, who was supposed to appear in JL. Perhaps as a big FU to Variety.

And of course, one more image, this time it's the original shot of Batman jumping from the sky before the reshoots edited it to make him jump into a chimney.
