Hard to choose between Joker and Catwoman.  I also like Penguin's and Riddler's origin stories.  Two-Face was done perfectly in BTAS, as was Mr Freeze.

I loathe the character, lol.  Worst character in any Batman film.

Batman Begins (2005) / Re: BATMAN LET RAS DIE

The only live action movies where Batman doesn't kill anybody are the 1966 Batman movie and Batman and Robin.

Ra's death is the least of my issues with Batman Begins.

I'd like to see more of Leto's Joker.

Love Arkham Origins, think it's a great underrated game.  My favourite villain is Anarky, and I hope the rumours are true and we get more of him.

After all, Arkham Origins had a post-credits scene where Amanda Waller meets Deathstroke in Blackgate Penitentiary, which was clearly alluding to a Suicide Squad game.

I thought it was alluding to that animated movie, Assault on Arkham.

I am actually glad that Burton dropped out of Batman 3.  Not sure if I like some of his ideas.  Marlon Wayans for Robin, for example.  Robin Williams was also a poor choice for Riddler.  I think at that point you needed a breath of fresh air for the franchise.  I actually think Joel Schumacher was the best choice at the time to do a modern but camp superhero movie.  Campiness is not all bad, as the 60s Batman tv show was high camp but was massively popular back in the day.  And let's face it, Batman is no stranger to camp at all, just read the comics from the 40s-60s - way sillier than anything in Batman and Robin.

That's actually the first time I've seen anyone describe AOU feeling like a video game, I've seen a few people use that word to SS. Personally, I don't find the term to be demeaning at all; in fact, there are lots of video games with compelling stories nowadays, so to me, people are unintentionally giving the film a compliment.  8)

I actually love the Arkham games and think that's the best versions of some of those characters.  But a video game is a video game, and is only fun if you're playing it.  When you're watching a movie, and it's just cgi battle after cgi battle, it's like watching someone else play a video game.  Suicide Squad had a bit of that, but much less than the overrated Avengers movies.

I don't think creative freedom guarantees success, TDK and TDKR were horribly overrated, awful messes that make Suicide Squad look like the first Avengers movie. I thought Suicide Squad was akin to Avengers: Age of Ultron: some good characters here and there but it's otherwise a very average movie.

Suicide Squad is much better than Age of Ultron.  Age of Ultron is more like a video game.  At least Suicide Squad has fun and interesting characters.
