Batman Video Games / Re: telltale Batman game

Without delving into any spoilers or anything like that, I must say Ep3 was a little bit underwhelming compared to the previous one, but at least some of the Joker scenes (and Ingruber's performance) were entertaining enough.

I actually received a reply from Mr. Paul Dini himself:

I always praised Paul Dini for investing so much of his energy, creativity and time in DC Animated Universe, and for providing us, Batman & DC Comics experts/admirers, with some of the finest and original interpretations of a lot of iconic and memorable characters. One of my favorite DCAU-related DTV's happens to be Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker (2000), but... did you know that there is one MAJOR TWIST (something that has to do with a certain Boy Wonder) in particular, that actually happened IN THE COMICS BEFORE the movie WAS RELEASED?

Ladies & gents, I would like to show you a small compare/contrast video project that ties several pages from a forgotten Batman comic: Detective Comics #623 - 'Death of Innocence' (written by John Ostrander & drawn by Flint Henry & Mike McKone) with the film. Issue 623 was first published in November 1990 — 10 YEARS prior to the unveiling of Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker to the world.

Animated Batman / Re: Justice League Action

Fantastic connection between the Joker & Bugs Bunny. As of now it is unknown whether JLA is going to get a greenlight for its 2nd Season or not. It's not my cup of tea entirely (I usually go back & watch The Brave & The Bold show again for my infinite feed that consists of all sorts of references to Silver Age/Golden Age), but I got used to it and, to be quite honest, some of the episodes were really neat, funny & creative.

The Laughing Fish and The Joker, thank you very much, I really appreciate that! Hopefully, Matt Reeves will reunite both of them at some point & maybe we will get some grandiose confrontation out of that too (fingers crossed: if it's done in the style of the Killing Joke, A Death in the Family or Frank Miller's TDKR, then I would be one very happy individual).

I honestly think that Leto's Joker has this untapped potential that, if used accordingly and in the right hands (unlike what David Ayer did to him in Squad by cutting out/rushing most of his scenes & writing the script for the film in two weeks, which, if you are not someone like Aaron Sorkin or Shane Black, is a bad move), could turn out to be something truly phenomenal & beautiful. At this point, I would rather see Mr. J appearing in The Batman film as opposed to Ficarra/Requa's Mad Love spin-off & Gotham City Sirens or any other DCEU property.

As a part of Justice League's European tour (for non-U.S. participants), Ben Affleck (Batman/Bruce Wayne) himself wanted all admirers & experts to participate in this special #BatmanWeek #JoinTheLeague contest on Instagram. Mr. Affleck's assignment is simple: "Show me where you gather YOUR LEAGUE."

This is what I decided to create:

That was my idea: that there is ONE strange individual who is not only ready to ACCEPT Mr. Affleck's challenge, but he is also dying to JOIN the Justice League without actually having any intention of GATHERING it. His name is very well-known... Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!

Enjoy! :D #MarketingCanBeSoFuuun

Movies / The Matrix Vertigo (Mashup)
Sun, 15 Oct 2017, 17:29

Story: "Ever have that feeling when y0u're n0t sure if y0u're AWAKE 0r DREAMING?" - that is the question that "THE MATRIX VERTIGO" tries to answer.

As a big admirer of Mr. Hitchcock's cinematic works (I am a film graduate/creative designer myself), I wanted to honor one of my favorite films of his Vertigo (1958; fantastic story & performances by Jimmy Stewart & Kim Novak along with an excellent Bernard Herrmann score), with this very special video experiment (with my own narrative choices involved, so you could play around with certain moments and segments, as opposed to being a slave to the original product with no room for invention) that I conducted recently.

We all know that the Wachowskis of the Matrix trilogy fame and so many other projects, were inspired by a rooftop chase from Vertigo during the making of the original 1999 Matrix, but...

What if you could cross both worlds together (not just visually, but also by using sound design techniques) and put John Ferguson & Madeleine along with the likes of Trinity, Neo & Morpheus, inside one single universe?))

Enjoy!

Easily, one of the best scenes in the "Batman vs. Two-Face" DTV (it's why he will always remain the most human and understanding Batman of all time)!

Honestly, I loved this project. Mr. West gave a great final performance in this one and so did Mr. Shatner as Harvey.

The story was quite entertaining and the humor was spot on (the only thing that sort of bugged me was the inclusion of Harley Quinn, which I feel is unnecessary since Mr. West is no longer with us and any potential tease for another 1966' Batman without his involvement seems rather pointless to me).

So, let's discuss this one. I feel like in terms of voice over work, it worked better than the previous 1966 DTV and overall it felt more exciting and thrilling, even though this one has less references to the past iterations and adventures of the Dynamic Duo in '66 universe.

Just put out a new e-dition with @DailyPlanetDC on Twitter where I talk about meeting and interviewing the legendary Jerry Robinson (Joker's father) for the first time and where we exchanged various thoughts about the Clown Prince of Crime.
