Aquaman's Black Manta says fans will be in for a treat

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who is set to play Black Manta in next year's blockbuster, Aquaman, says that fans should expect an epic outing. In a recent interview with GQ Australia, the actor shed some light on the production which was wrapped up recently on Australia's Gold Coast. "It’s going great." Abdul-Mateen revealed. "The scale is epic and this movie is going to be so good! I can’t say too much, but in the hands of [director] James Wan and with Jason Momoa at the helm, I think people are going to be really happy with it."

The actor also revealed his strenuous training to get bulked up for the role. He had to endure five days in the gym so he can be in top peak physical condition for the role. Of this preparation, he said "I have a love-hate relationship with working out. I do not enjoy the experience when I’m doing it, but I never regret it. I think I’m in the best shape of my life."

Jason mamoa's Aquaman was considered to be one of the breakout stars of the recent blockbuster Justice League, so it is with high anticipation that fans are looking foward to his solo outing. Aquaman will be directed by James Wan and also stars Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe and Nicole Kidman.

The epic underwater (and land) adventure will be released on December 21st, 2018.
