Batman Director Tim Burton honoured
Batman and Batman Returns Director Tim Burton was honoured with a handprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre yesterday afternoon. Burton was flanked by Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands star, Winona Ryder, Who thanked the director for kickstarting her career. She expressed in her touching tribute speech that Tim Burton understands the human heart in a way she may not have certainly seen on screen before.
Burton is an acclaimed director, widely known for his artistic, tender and even, moving films complete with fantastic worlds and very interesting characters. From Pee Wee's Big Adventure to Batman to Sleepy Hollow and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Burton's handprints are unmistakable. Films such as Big Fish and Big Eyes, also prove that Burton has a wonderful dramatic sensibility which can appeal to wide audiences.
We can see Burton dazzle us on the big screen with his next film, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children being released on September 30th.
