Box Office Champ again!

       DC's third film in their Extended Universe, reigned supreme at the box office for an unprecedented third straight weekend. It has been estimated to pull in $20.7 million, to bring it's doimestic cume to $272m. Oversees, it has now surpassed the coveted $300m mark brining it's total worldwide total to over $572m.

       The villain-centred pic was able to hold off newcomers Ben-Hur, a remake of the classic Charlton Heston historical epic and War Dogs, a war-drama based on a true story, also released by WB. At its current rate, Suicide Squad has a chance of surpassing the previous DC film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice at the domestic box office. Dawn of Justice accumulated $330m and once weekday figures hold up for the next few weeks, Suicide Squad may take the crown from its predecessor.
