Deadshot to become Batman?

       Actor Will Smith, who will play the deadly marksman, Deadshot in the upcoming Suicide Squad has expressed his interest in playing Batman in a future DC film or films. Although Ben Affleck has just donned the cape and cowl, Will Smith cited storylines from the comics that had Deadshot taking over for Batman. This however, is a slight variation, as Deadshot was "impersonating" Batman in Batman #59 from the 1950's.

     It remains to be seen if such a shift might take place in the DC Universe, but for now, we'll continue to enjoy Affleck's portrayal in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the now filming, Justice League Part One.

 

Suicide Squad comes out on August 5th, 2016.
