WB makes some adjustments to JUSTICE LEAGUE

WB has decided to take a more "hands on" approach to their upcoming tentpole films. This according to a source from Variety, who says that the studio wanst the upcoming slate of superhero films to be more "centralized", meaning more focus on the story and a singular vision for the way forward. There is also rumours that they are looking for a main figurehead, that can guide the DCEU for the next several years. It's not to say that WB are pulling hard on the reigns of the creative teams behind the film, moreso, that they want directors likle Zack Snyder and others to focus on their vision and style, but within the neccessary story structures, especially when interconnecting plotlines across their various films.

This shift in tone and focus is believed to be in response to the mixed critical reviews Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Although the film has done well at the worldwide box office, WB believes that the mixed response affected the overall financial performance of their superhero showdown. They are, however, moving ahead with Justice League Part One, with director Zack Snyder from a script written by Chris Terrio to start shooting in England today (April 11th). This may convey strong confidence in their product and they are wholeheartedly moving ahead with their superhero universe.

The next four DCEU films will be released as follows: Wonder Woman on June 2nd, 2017, Justice League Part One comes out on November 17th, 2017, The Flash on March 16th, 2018 and Aquaman on July 27th, 2018.
