Batman solo film to shoot next spring
In a recent interview, promoting his latest film Live By Night, Ben Affleck revealed that the solo Batman film should go before the lenses early next year. Affleck is still in the stages of finishing and finalizing the script and also has directing duties on the Caped Crusader's latest adventure.
Affleck believes in following his own vision of Gotham's hero, whilst pronouncing respect for the films, actors and directors that came before. "I respect all those [Batman] movies," he said. "Christopher Nolan did an incredible job. Christian Bale did an incredible job. Tim Burton did an incredible job. At a certain point you have to look forward an believein your own vision for it and not be looking over your shoulder the whole time.I go into that movie with a tremendous amount of respect for the people who came before me."
The Batman,, as it is tentatively being called, should bow in theatres sometime in 2018 as part of the superhero slate for DC's Extended Cinematic Universe.
