I've finally listened to R. Kelly's Gotham City song from the B&R soundtrack. And now I've found these two music videos for two versions of the song.

The lyrics for the original song seem like Gotham can move on without needing Batman.

I like how Kelly "took this remix and rearranged it" for the second video, with shots of Batman and the Batmobile.  :D

But I don't quite see how the ghetto life has anything to do with the Batman mythos.  :-\
QuoteJonathan Nolan: He [Batman] has this one rule, as the Joker says in The Dark Knight. But he does wind up breaking it. Does he break it in the third film?

Christopher Nolan: He breaks it in...

Jonathan Nolan: ...the first two.

The soundtrack actually went platinum so much of the film's spin off merchandise did quite well.

So what you're saying is that it's a good anthem for The Dark Knight Rises?

It might've been if it never hinted Blake was going to become Batman.

True, so we'll just say it's an anthem for the 8 years Bruce took off.

Considering that eight year gap was based on false pretenses which eventually backfired, the song doesn't deserve to be associated with such ignominy.
