Somebody on Vimeo compiled and compared several scenes from Batman Returns that maintain visual and verbal continuity i.e. Selina Kyle returning home to her apartment before AND after her near death experience, and Bruce/Batman and Selina/Catwoman saying the mistletoe line on the rooftop and at the costumed ballroom party.

Interesting visual analysis.

QuoteJonathan Nolan: He [Batman] has this one rule, as the Joker says in The Dark Knight. But he does wind up breaking it. Does he break it in the third film?

Christopher Nolan: He breaks it in...

Jonathan Nolan: ...the first two.

While I'm tempted to call some of it funny coincidence, I'm more inclined to give credit to Burton's genius direction. Seeing this side-by-side speaks volumes about Catwoman.
