I really hope Miranda Tate isn't Talia.  That'd be a direct repeat of Ducard turning out to be Ra's.  Instead of a Lazarus Pit, we just have the al Ghul family pretending to be other people?  No thanks.  Still, I understand the speculation since Hollywood Reporter kept saying Talia could be part of the film and we already know that Ra's will play a role (though only confirmed in flashbacks with Josh Pence).  I just hope this isn't the case.

While I was also disappointed that Levitt isn't a comic book character, I'm glad he's not Alberto Falcone either, as Variety first reported.  I hated the idea of bringing in the never-mentioned children of the villains from the first movie.  I don't see how the Holiday story would fit with a story with Bane and Catwoman and, even if they didn't use him as Holiday, why have Alberto in it at all?  I was relieved to find that he was playing a cop instead, even though I'd prefer to see Bullock (played by an older, gruff actor) as Dark Knight Rises's new cop character.

This has to be the most popular thread. Over 8,000 views, with several hundred in the last few days alone. It's funny, considering our response to the title question was basically We don’t know.

Maybe we should create more threads with the names ‘John Blake’ and ‘Miranda Tate’ in the title to increase site traffic.

Wow, another thousand views in under a week!

I feel bad for all the site guests who've come here wanting to know who Miranda and John are. If you really want to know, drag to highlight:

Miranda Tate is Talia al Ghul.

John Blake is Robin.

There. The question has finally been answered.

Now who wants to bet the number of views for this thread will exceed 10,000 by this time next week?

Well, it's one week later and it has indeed exceeded 10,000 views. This thread is the stuff of legend.

Geez, the last few moments of the film were hard to watch. I found it incredibly cheesy. I would've scrapped Blake altogether. His role was too large and took away too much screen time from other characters.

that was one of my beefs about the film. Nothing against JGL or the character but nobody went to this film to see John Blake. I'm sure this film had more scenes without the hero or villain involved than any other super hero film I can think of.
