It would be incredible to see her reprise this role, but in my mind you would want Keaton on board as well. With everything happening in the DC Universe with time travel, especially with Flash, it would be incredible to have a plot point where characters are inserted back into that world where Keaton and Pfeiffer owned the spotlight as Batman and Catwoman for a chapter in a bigger story plot. I think audiences would go nuts. I understand you can't reboot the franchise around this cast anymore, but a nod to the past would be an amazing moment everyone would appreciate, no matter what era they came from. Keaton said recently his body measurements for Birdman were identical to what he had for Batman Returns. That's amazing.

Unfortunately, the only time Michelle Pfeiffer will ever return in the comic book world will be as Janet van Dyne in the next Ant-Man. Unless WB animation decides to produce a retroactive sequel to BR where Keaton and Pfeiffer reprise their roles as voice actors, the chances of Pfeiffer playing Catwoman again will forever remain a pipe dream.

59 year old Michelle Pfeiffer in a catsuit? I'd be there in an attosecond.

How fast is that?

Even if it was only a voice role that would be enough for me. As long as they didn't f*** it up.

What a glorious idea.  An animated sequel to Returns! That could be done so well.

Hell, I'd be up for it.

Take a page from the Pre-Crisis Earth-Two continuity, and introduce Helena Wayne (The Huntress) as the daughter of Batman and Catwoman. There's alot of possibilities in going back to Burton's Gotham City and revisiting Keaton's Batman and Pfieffer's Catwoman decades later.

Before I expand on my first comment of this thread, I'd like to share this fan art I found of Pfeiffer's Catwoman on Reddit.

You're welcome, Catwoman.  ;)

Now, as I suggested before, if a hypothetical third Burton Batman movie were to be made, it would likely need to be animated. Let's face it, Keaton and Pfeiffer are physically too old to do it again in live action, but I believe they can still reprise their roles as voice actors. But, bear with me for a minute, what if instead of traditional cel animation, the movie could be developed in Unreal Engine's photorealistic graphics? 3D animation in today's technology is becoming more lifelike than ever.

Take a look at this impressive CG rendering of Andy Serkis here.

Another good example is this demonstration of a scene with Stormstroopers and Captain Phasma.

Photorealistic digital graphics can even render vast landscapes such as this.

Finally, here is this example of an artificial character called Siren. Although my only criticism with this demonstration is the skin on her arms look too smooth and fake. But her face, hair and eyes look great.

I should point out Keaton's 1989 Batsuit and Furst's Batmobile were included in a skins pack for the Arkham Knight video game, which I believe was developed in Unreal Engine 4. Admittedly, the graphics back in 2015 are little less impressive compared to the examples I've shared above, but regardless, Burton's art style is so unique that with this kind of animation, I have no doubt he'd be able to find a balance with doing more things he couldn't achieve with physical sets back in the day, but still make it look realistic enough and not too cartoonish. If you take a look at the second screenshot below and put Keaton's mouth on Batman and make his chest and shoulders resemble the actor's body size, I think it could work.

You look at the Burton movie skin and it fits right into the world of Arkhamverse, which appears to take some inspiration from Burton. But I digress.

I can imagine if they were to use motion capture for Keaton and Pfeiffer's faces and put them on 3D character models as they recite their lines, there could be no limit for the animation to mimic Burton's world as realistically as possible. The only concern is the question of budget for such a project, as well as the current technology still can't get some skin imperfections exactly right. But I reckon it's an entertaining idea that would make the movie stand out more than your typical animated feature.

That being said, even if this idea is too expensive to produce, I'd still take an animated Burton Batman movie any day of the week instead of whatever new live action movie Warner Butchers throws at us, now that Affleck made his premature exit.

What do you guys think?

A few months ago in an interview with the Today show, Pfeiffer said it would be "incredible" to put the Catsuit on again and she certainly has fond memories of playing the role (skip to 0:32).

While we're on the subject of Pfeiffer's Catwoman, I want to take the time to say how much I love these two contrasting screenshots.

From rescuee to enemy. I'm hard-pressed to think of any other actress who could've matched Pfeiffer's acting range here: going from meek and starstruck as Selina to ferocious and irreverent as Catwoman.

Pfeiffer shared these rare pictures on her Instagram on May 3rd this year.

Midway through the very, very long Catwoman mask design process. Many hours of sitting and having my face squished 🥴 I'm pretty sure I'm taking a catnap in this photo?

Sweet pictures!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, but Dick Tracy deserves no end of thanks for knocking up Annette Benning, which in turn, lead to Michelle getting the part.

From an unofficial BTAS Twitter account:

Quote
Happy Birthday to Michelle Pfeiffer! One of her many iconic roles was playing Selina Kyle / Catwoman in Tim Burton's "Batman Returns".
The design of Selina Kyle for Batman: the animated series was strongly influenced by her appearance.

Fun fact: Pfeiffer shares the same birthday as Kate Mulgrew, albeit three years younger. Mulgrew voiced Red Claw in BTAS.

Now that Keaton has been confirmed for The Flash, this could very well be the perfect chance for Pfeiffer to make a comeback as Selina Kyle. Even if it's only a cameo.

Well, either in The Flash, or in a future Batman Beyond film.
